David Stanley is an American speaker, best-selling author, and independent producer.
​
David E. Stanley was born in Newport News, Virginia, in 1955. After his parents divorced, he moved to Graceland at age four when his mother married Vernon Presley, Elvis's father. At 16, he worked as a personal aide bodyguard for Elvis, participating in numerous historic concerts until Elvis's tragic death in 1977. This loss inspired David to overcome his own addictions and now he is a speaker, author, and filmmaker, using his to raise awareness about prescription drug abuse through the RAESED ON Foundation.
